Chasing Thieboudienne and Desert Stars in Mauritania

Trip Description

Mauritania has been on my list for one reason: thieboudienne, the fish-and-rice dish that's basically the national soul on a plate. I want to eat it in Nouakchott, then ride the iron ore train into the desert and sleep under more stars than I've ever seen. Dec 8-13, dates a bit flexible. Anyone want to split a 4x4 and argue over who gets the window seat?
